About IJM at Texas A&M

The Problem:

Today there are an estimated 45 million victims of modern slavery. This is the highest number in history, and makes modern slavery one of the most pressing human rights crises today. Modern slavery affects every country in the world. In the United States the average age of entry for victims of sexual slavery is 13 years old.

Who we are:

In the face of these terrifying statistics, there is hope! As followers of Jesus Christ, we at IJM TAMU believe that God has called us to show humanity the overwhelming love of Christ. In light of this calling, we believe that fighting injustice and oppression is the natural expression of God's love in us.

Our mission:

We seek to raise public awareness of the injustices occuring in our world today. We also work to raise money in support of IJM's global work of bringing freedom to  victims of abuse and oppression. We boldly strive to communicate God's command to the Church to seek justice for the marginalized.

2030 Vision:

Rescue millions, protect half a billion, and make justice for the poor unstoppable.

"But he has told you, oh man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." -Micah 6:8
